Sniper Ghost Warrior 5.1

Sniper: Ghost Warrior is a first-person action shooter. It is a game designed around the art of sniping. I personally always play the sniper in first-person shooters because I like how much work is involved to get a kill at long range. Most games completely overlook the many factors that come into play when shooting a rifle. Battlefield Bad Company 2 was one of the best at that until now.

The game has both a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode with different playlists. Although neither the single player nor the multiplayer modes are THAT great, the game is still fun to play. The problem with the game is the number of bugs that you find and how dumb movement and computer AI can get. Sometimes you will see random artifacts in the way of your shot, or you won't be able to crouch because a plant or a step is blocking you. Other times, you do everything right and still your stealthiness doesn't work. Those are just some of the many problems this game has.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior has an over-played plot. You have to kill a dictator who has taken an island hostage and is killing people left and right. The best part of the game, in my opinion, is the shooting mechanics. Gravity, wind, and stance all modify your shots. There is a wind meter and different difficulty settings to make shooting more realistic. I like the feeling of getting a perfect shot after compensating for wind currents, bullet drop, and other factors.

The game is really not the best first shooter around, but it is one of the best sniping games out there.
