SongKong is a program that comes in handy to Mac users who are dealing with large music collections. You can use this capable application to update songs with their correct metadata details, find and remove duplicated tracks, and change or add album artworks to your favorite tunes.
All you need to do is select a music folder from your Mac and the program will immediately check if the songs within the directory need any alterations. SongKong compares tracks details with info from online databases (MusicBrainz and Discogs) and lets you know which of the tunes require metadata modifications.
In the trial version of this application you only get to see what alterations could be made to your songs. No actual metadata or artwork modification is made. You need to acquire the full program in order to organize your music collection.
In my testing, the app has immediately scanned the selected music directory and offered me a complete report with the metadata and artwork changes.
With that being said, I think it's worth buying this program for your Mac. It offers a very simple and effective way to organize your music collection, takes a small amount of time to get the job done, and comes with a reasonable price.
