Spades is a computerised version of one of the world’s most popular card games. The game features a full tutorial to assist those who are new to the game, while the animations help to make the game come to life.
The rules of Spades are the same as the original game and players of all ages should be able to pick it up rather quickly. the computer takes care of dealing and keeping score, allowing players to focus on the game itself. However, the burnt orange backdrop is rather jarring and unfortunately there is no way to change this. Most players are also likely to find that they prefer to turn off the sound effects and put the game on mute to escape the theme music.
Teams of card lovers who are looking for a casual game that they can pick up whenever they choose should take a closer look at Spades. Although the game is not likely to impress in terms of graphics or sound effects, it offers an easy way for families or groups of friends to kill a little time.
