SpeakLine was designed for Mac users who wish to make text-to-speech conversions with ease. All you need to do is enter or paste the passages you want SpeakLine to read for you, choose a voice profile, and click the Start Reading button from the bottom-left side of the main screen.
This type of program comes in handy if you want to create a video tutorial for the app you designed and don't want to use your own voice when explaining how to handle your utility. You can choose from a long list of different voice profiles, adjust reciting speed (words per minute), and increase or decrease the sound volume if necessary.
If you're happy with the results, you can export the audio content to your local directories. Unfortunately, the application supports only one output format: AIFF. Other popular audio formats, like MP3, WAV or OGG are not supported.
Except for that, nothing else can be said about SpeakLine. It simply does what's being said on the homepage of the developer and nothing more.
So, if you ever need a text-to-speech tool for you Mac, you should definitely give this free program a try.
