Speech Toggle is a free menu extra for Mac OS X which allows users to quickly and easily toggle Apple's speech recognition (Speakable Items) on and off. This software eliminates the need to go to the System Preferences every time you want to use speech recognition. Speech Toggle can be added to the Login Items in the Accounts pane of System Preferences to auto-launch. Additionally, our speech page offers tips and information. Speech Toggle is open source.
