sPlayerFree is, as the name implies, a media player that is able to deal with audio and video file formats.
To start playing your favorite multimedia files, you first have to complete a simple installation process. Once it's done, you discover its minimalist interface, covered in a black background theme. At first, the main toolbar can be annoying because it's set to auto-hide, therefore it's hard to find the main configuration settings. Also, the buttons seem a bit unresponsive at times.
sPlayerFree can support several audio-video formats, such as MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, FLV, OGV, MP3, WAV, or FLAC. Additionally, the player is able to manage a few image formats like JPG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF.
As per its features, sPleyerFree supports HDR Tone Mapping, includes hardware acceleration and can open multiple instances simultaneously.Moreover, it comes with a built-in audio enhancement, has subtitle synchronization, and is able to rotate videos.
To sum it up, sPlayerFree is a decent multimedia player that can play various file formats. It's free, uses a low amount of system resources and doesn't require high system requirements.
