Starus Photo Recovery is a Windows utility designed to help you restore lost or deleted pictures. This program can recover photos from various types of data storage containers, such as internal and external hard drives, USB sticks, memory cards, compact and SLR cameras, etc.
The tool is packed with a wizard assistant that guides you every step of the way and you have access to a comprehensive help manual. So, you don't need much PC experience to use this program on your computer. Simply follow the necessary steps and you will immediately recover the lost pictures you need.
The first thing you need to do is to select the scan location. Then, you can choose the preferred scan filters. For example, you can look for photos that were created last month and are at least 10 MB in size. The utility lets you choose between two scan modes: Fast Scan or Full Analysis. The first scan mode can locate only the pictures that were recently deleted while the latter method takes more time to complete and is able to restore all lost photos.
In my testing, I used the utility to analyze a USB drive with the default filter options and the Fast Scan mode. The program immediately completed the scanning process and allowed me to preview all of the found files. However, since I used the trial version of the utility, I wasn't able to restore any data. So, I can't guarantee that the tool will actually recover your pictures or that the retrieved files won't be damaged.
