Status Barred comes in handy to iOS app developers who need to prepare the screenshots of their apps for the iTunes store. This simple utility enables you to remove the status bar from your snapshot by cropping or hiding the unnecessary area and immediately export the image to your local directories.
The app is very easy to use. All you need to do is drag-and-drop the iOS screenshots over the interface, choose the preferred output profile (cropping or hiding status bar), and select a destination folder for the resulted images. The utility preserves the quality of the input snapshots and immediately provides you with the pictures you need.
A good thing is that the program supports batch processing. Hence, you can drag-and-drop as many iOS snapshots as you like and quickly remove or hide the status bar from the loaded images.
Also, this new version provides you with support for iPad Pro screenshots with the following resolutions: 2048x2732 and 2732x2048.
Other than that, not much more can be said about this utility. It does exactly what's being stated on the homepage of the developer without damaging the input screenshots or slowing down your Mac. Plus, it's free.
However, you can use Mac's default image viewer called Preview and crop the unnecessary area from your iOS screenshots. Personally, I'd prefer working with a default Mac app instead of installing and working in a third-party program. So, it's up to you to decide if it's worth downloading and installing Status Barred on your computer.

- You can now choose to obscure the status bar area instead of cropping it. This will take the pixels along the bottom of the status bar area and "stretch" them up to the top of the status bar area, covering the carrier, time, battery symbols etc.
