Steelray Project Viewer offers users a professional way of opening project files created with Microsoft Project. It includes all the necessary tools that are specific to a program of this kind. It comes with a fair price, considering all the features that it has to offer.
This program is especially useful for those who are working in project management field and need an organized way of viewing the task list of a project. Moreover, it comes with a modern graphical-user interface. At first, it might seem complicated and difficult to use, but it is actually quite practical. You just need to load the project file. By accessing the toolbox, users can select from a variety of displaying modes of a project file. The first and the most popular one is Gantt Chart. Additionally, Steelray Project Viewer is able to display the project timeline, network diagram, resource sheet, resource usage, task usage, etc.
I was a bit disappointed by the fact that Steelray Project Viewer handles only project files that are saved in MPP or XML formats. This might be considered a drawback by some users. Other than that, this program doesn't seem to have many disadvantages. It is a well-built tool that fulfils its purpose efficiently.
