Recent Windows operating systems (7, 8, and 10) provide you with a default utility for writing notes. Unfortunately, it isn't feature-rich at all. It only lets you write your notes and organize them on your desktop. Stickies is a program that comes as an alternative to using the aforementioned tool and provides you with a wide variety of useful settings.
This utility lives in your System Tray from where you can access its Options panel and manage your sticky notes. You can select the preferred sticky note theme, choose a different font style and size, store multiple notes into a single stack, etc.
Stickies also provides you with a solution if you want to be informed when it's time to complete a certain assignment. You simply enter the task details in a sticky note screen and hit the Ctrl+Shift+A keys to reveal the alarm settings window.
Sadly, the app comes with a disadvantage: it doesn't offer you options to sync or share your sticky notes. Other apps of its kind provide you with this feature.
In conclusion, you should try Stickies on your PC if the aforementioned flaw doesn't mean much to you.
