LS Stock Ticker 2.1 is a free program that displays up to 50 stocks on your desktop. It gathers the stock values and the related information from Yahoo! Finance, so there is a 20 minutes delay. The application is simple to use and offers all relevant stock data.
Right click the mouse on the scrolling bar to access the application menu (assuming the user is right handed). This menu provides all options available.
By clicking on the Edit Symbols List option, the user can change the symbols displayed in the bar. Note that the symbols must be recognized by yahoo.com. For instance, the symbol for IBEX 35 index is ^IBEX.
The scrolling data that can be displayed for each symbol is: Name, Current Price, Date (or Time) of Last Trade, Change, Percentage Change, Last Day's Close, Opening Price, Day's High, Day's Low, and Day's Volume. The data can be customized by ticking one-by-one or by clicking on Select All to tick them all. Click on Default to show the most relevant data - Name, Current Price, Change and Percentage Change.
Other features are: Update Frequency, Refresh Now, and Skin. This last option allows the user to change the display colours on the bar.
