Stomp is a video converter with a lot of useful presets. It is not a standard converter, in the sense that it doesn't try or want to give you hundreds of conversion profiles for lots of devices. Instead, it includes just a few useful presets that aim at compressing videos as much as possible and making the process so easy that "even grandma can do it". Those are the developer's words, but it is true. The app is very intuitive and it just works.

This converter has a very clean user interface which consists of a space for the conversion queue, a video player on the right part of the screen, and the presets on the left. You can also access image-correction filters on the left part of the screen if you click on the "presets" button.

Stomp supports batch conversions. So all you have to do is add your files, select a format and start the process. They will all be converted one after the other.

In my testing, I added an MKV file and I selected the Apple TV preset, which compresses video considerably. The clip was 1 minute and 5 seconds long, and the app took a little under 8 minutes to complete the task. This was a high definition file, so that might be the reason it takes so long. The resulting file was half the size of the source file and it looked very good.

All in all, Stomp is a nice video converter that is easy to use and it works well.
