With a fix for a crashing bug, this release will be one of the last as we encourage users to upgrade to the new Design 3D SE 7 – or CXi. SE 7 has many features that couldn’t be supported in the older code, including anisotropy, Booleans and skin modeling. CXi also includes animation, FX and subdivision surface modeling.
This maintenance release of the original Design 3D SE product should help the product continue to run well on your computer for the foreseeable future. There is no requirement that you upgrade to Design 3D SE 7 or Design 3D CXi.
