StreamCloud is a program designed for Mac users who wish to listen to music from the SoundCloud website without using their default browser. This application features an integrated player, allows you to log in to your SoundCloud account, and uses a small amount of CPU resources while playing music from the aforementioned webpage.
The utility places an icon on your Menu Bar from where you can control the way its integrated player operates. You can pause or resume the current track, play next song, enable the Shuffle option, etc. The app also lets you define global hotkeys to control the music player with ease.
Sadly, the application doesn't work 100%. In my testing, the main window failed to display anything after I logged in to my SoundCloud account (it showed a blank screen).
Another thing I don't like is that the program lacks an integrated search utility to help you find songs or music sets on SoundCloud.
Even though StreamCloud comes without a price tag, I still don't consider that it's worth installing it on your computer. That being said, I think you can find better solutions for playing tunes from SoundCloud music sharing webpage.
