Super Auto Pets is a free game about battling animals. Choose your pet, give it food, build a team of other pets around it, and then send it into battle against rival teams. The game is designed to run automatically when the fights start.
Although outwardly similar to virtual pet games like Desktop Goose, Super Auto Pets turns out to be closer in spirit to Slapstick Fighter. The emphasis is not only on assembling your animal team, but it is going into battle.
A round of Super Auto Pets begins with the player assembling their animal team. Next, you can send them into battle against another team. The fight is carried out automatically according to whatever stats were established at the start. The animals face each other in two lines, the frontmost animals fighting.
Super Auto Pets has two gameplay modes. First is Arena Mode, where the object is for a single player to complete their way through a series of battles and reach ten medals. The other is Versus Mode, where you can compete with multiple rival players and confront their animal armies.
A variety of adorable animals are yours to play with: a beaver, a dolphin, a fish, a sheep, a camel, a deer, and even a shrimp. The cute animals behave brutally toward one another in a twisted bit of humor, with the loser being slammed right off the playing field. The game is still suitable for all ages, with no graphic violence.
Super Auto Pets has a simple premise but just enough nuance to its mechanics to ensure appeal to multiple age groups. The colorful graphics suggest a children's game, but the offbeat humor might pull in adult players who want a simple time-killer.
