SyncMate is a tool that enables you to sync your important data, such as contact info, calendar details or directories, across various types of storage containers as well as Cloud service accounts. The program is packed with easy-to-configure settings, so, minimum computer experience is required in order to work with this utility.
You can use SyncMate to keep various types of data in sync, from contacts and reminders to music files and Safari bookmarks. The first thing you need to do is to establish a connection between SyncMate and your storage container or Cloud account. For example, you can add a new Mounted Device connection and select a connected USB stick as one of the sync locations. Then, all you need to do is to choose the type of data you wish to keep in sync between your Mac and the USB drive and that's it. The program will take care of the rest.
A good thing is that the utility uses a very small amount of CPU resources while syncing data. What's more, it keeps a detailed activity log which can be accessed and cleared whenever you like.
A disadvantage is the fact that the program doesn't offer you support for keeping data in sync between your Mac and a Windows PC.
Still, SyncMate is a great and simple solution for syncing your Mac data across various storage containers. It works fast, is very simple to configure, and comes with a fair price. It's definitely worth buying it, especially if you plan on using it often.
