Synergy+ 1.10

Synergy+ is a free, open source application that enables you to control a number of computers from one keyboard and mouse. If you usually work with more than one computer on your desk, this tool can help you dramatically improve your efficiency by allowing you to work with multiple machines from the comfort of a single keyboard-mouse set.

Using Synergy+, there's no need to press any keys or any special commands to change screens as in other tools of that kind. Instead, you simply move the cursor in direction to another screen, and it will 'magically' appear on that computer. This will allow you have full control of the client computers, just as if you were using their own keyboard and mouse. Since there is a shared clipboard, you can copy a piece of text from one computer and directly paste it on another, for example. Typing from the shared keyboard into a distant machine, only requires you to move the cursor and place it in the target computer.

What makes this application even more powerful is that it is cross-platform, so you can install it on computers with different operating systems and control all of them from the shared keyboard/mouse.

The only requirement to use Synergy+ is to have an Ethernet connection already established, and well, a bit of patience to configure it. In broad terms, you install Synergy+ on all your computers, specify a name for the server (the computer that is going to share its input devices) and the clients, and tell the application the server and clients/s positions. The 3rd step can seem a bit tricky, but in any case, the whole setup process is fully explained on the site. Once the connection has been established, and if the test indicates that everything is properly set up, you can start running the program.
