Talking Clipboard is a comprehensive text-to-speech software application that will read aloud any text you copy to your clipboard and paste in the program's main window. It can also open a variety of documents, including HTML, PDF, MS Word, and RTF files, as well as EPUB e-books, RSS feeds and plain text files. You can then tell Talking Clipboard to save the audio as a WAV or MP3 file that you can listen to while on the go.

Undoubtedly, reading out loud any text stored in your clipboard using a TTS engine is the main function of the program, but it is not the only one. Actually, Talking Clipboard is loaded with other features and utilities. Thus, it will allow you to build your personal vocabulary with all those words and terms that require some fine-tuning before throwing them at the TTS engine (this is the case of acronyms, words in other languages, mathematical expressions, etc.). All these difficult words (and the instructions on how to pronounce them) will be stored in your personal glossary, which Talking Clipboard would take into account whenever any of those terms show up again. You can also select any word, expression, or any other portion of text and tell the program to ignore it when reading it, or apply different voices to long texts to avoid monotony.

Besides, it comes with a text splitting tool, which will allow you to load a document and split it into smaller chunks by size, paragraph, or keyword. Then you have the spell check tool and a "typing echo" utility, which will spell whatever word you type in it.
