Taply is a simple audio player designed for Mac that comes as an alternative to listening to your favorite music within the iTunes app. This utility is very simple to handle, supports drag-and-drop actions, and uses a very small amount of CPU resources while playing your music.
You can import music files with extensions like MP3, M4A, WAV, AIF, etc. Afterwards, the application creates a playlist with the selected files and lets you play them immediately.
The player is very simple to use, with basic functions, such as play, pause, play next or previous, shuffle, etc. You can check your playlist content by accessing the contextual menu (right-click over the app's main window).
Taply also features an option to clear the entire playlist and leave only the track you're currently listening to.
Unfortunately, this program works with a limited amount of audio formats. More exactly, it doesn't support OGG, AU, M4R or FLAC files. Another disadvantage is the fact that you cannot save your playlists to your local directories in case you wish to play the exact songs later.
Nonetheless, this application is free of charge. So, you have nothing to lose if you try it on your Mac.
