TextBatchConv is intended to convert text files to another encoding system and with different ends of the line. Likewise, the tool lets you search and replace specific strings as part of the conversion process. The application supports changing various types of text files, including TXT and HTML.
Unfortunately, the application’s interface is not very intuitive. In this respect, it probably has too many options cramped into a single window. It supports importing files via drag-and-drop operations or browsing for them in Finder. Although it is possible to process batches of files and thus save some time, there is no way to guess that the only way to do this is by dragging and dropping the intended text files onto the upper-right-corner image. Next, you can specify the source and target encoding system.
The tool lets you create a list of words to find and replace by others, which you can save for future use. You should also notice that only the checked pairs will be processed. Besides, when working with a single file, you can save the results under a different name. However, you must be careful when working with file batches, as the original files get modified.
In general, TextBatchConv can help you convert the encoding system of your text files. Luckily, it can be tried at no cost.
