In The Rise of Atlantis, you're challenged to discover the lost city through the use of logic in a beautifully presented game that combines great graphics with a decent level of gameplay.
The Rise of Atlantis is a classic matching game where you have to match different symbols on a board to progress through your travels. You can choose from a variety of travel locations such as Babylon, Egypt and Rome. The Rise of Atlantis is great for kids (and even adults) who don't know much about this particular period in history but want to learn a little about the places involved while having fun at the same time.
On the board, if three identical symbols are matched, the row disappears from the board and new images to slip from the top to bottom. The aim is to score a certain number of points before you can move onto the next level. If you hit the sun bonuses, the sun dial will automatically destroy any remaining pieces on your board. The initial levels are way too easy however and if you get stuck, the game even tells you which pieces to move which is a bit annoying. There are 77 levels however and no doubt the further you go, the more the difficulty gets.
The Rise of Atlantis is a superbly illustrated game that's good for both learning and exercising your powers of logic.
