The Room 4: Old Sins is a video game developed by Fireproof Games. As the name suggests, this is the fourth installment in the puzzle series, The Room. It gives a new mystery for fans to solve, and, of course, new rooms to escape.

Note that The Room 4: Old Sins is not a continuation of its predecessor, The Room 3. Instead, it has a brand new setting with new characters and a storyline. Although, the gameplay will be the same. Players will also find that the developers focused more on the visuals as the puzzles are rather easy.

The Room 4: Old Sins is the latest addition to the escape room franchise The Room. As mentioned, it features a new storyline set against the background of a tragic story. The game centers on the sudden disappearance of an ambitious engineer and his high-society wife. This leads to a quest to find artifacts, which will be the goal. In each room you visit, you will find a hidden artifact.

The gameplay is the same as its predecessor. As it is a point-and-click game, you only need your mouse to play. You can left-click to examine and manipulate your inventory. Meanwhile, clicking and dragging the left mouse lets you look around. You can also double-click on locations to zoom in. To zoom out, you can right-click on the same location. As a help, the game offers an occasional hint.

There will also be a tutorial at the beginning of the game to help you understand the mechanics. Note that you cannot skip this tutorial. For long-time players, this will be annoying. Although, you will be happy to see the improvements in the visuals. The dollhouse style and approach give the game a richer quality. However, it takes the mysterious aspect that the previous iteration offers.
