TheDIBB Countdown is a menubar countdown application for Mac OS X. On the preferences window you can set your Holiday date by clicking the Day / Month / Year Hour : Minute fields and either using the up and down arrows or directly typing them in.
It will run on Snow Leopard (10.6) and Lion (10.7).
