This app is the second installment from The Far Kingdoms series developed by the Lazy Turtle Games company. The story continues as Arianna, the princess of the realm, tries to restore her kingdom to its former glory by rebuilding the castle and its surrounding structures.
The Far Kingdoms: Age of Solitaire doesn't provide you with a help guide. However, during the first couple of levels it gives you access to various gameplay instructions.
The challenges consist of various Solitaire levels where your objective is to eliminate all cards from the board. You can do that by clicking over cards with one number higher or lower than the foundation card (the card that's being displayed on the bottom side of the screen). The app lets you replay missions if you're not happy with your final score.
You can create as many player profiles as you like, play in fullscreen or windowed mode, and adjust the sound volume level according to your needs. The app also lets you choose the preferred card deck style from its Options panel.
All in all, The Far Kingdoms: Age of Solitaire doesn't bring you outstanding animations. However, it comes with a captivating plot, provides you with numerous challenging levels, and automatically saves the gameplay progress for each of the created player profiles.
So, I think it's worth buying this game for your Mac if you're looking for a fun way to spend your free time.
