TheSage is a Windows utility that helps you easily find English word definitions, synonyms, anagrams, rhymes, and many others. The application might prove to be of good use to English content writers or to people who simply want to get access to detailed explanations for certain English words.
You have access to various built-in tools, like an English dictionary, a synonym search tool, etc. All of the integrated utilities are listed on the left side of the interface and feature simple-to-configure settings. The app also provides you with a solution for storing your favorite word entries in a list.
Unfortunately, the program occasionally fails to provide you with the accurate results you need. For example, in my testing, the app offered me zero phonetic and orthographic info for common words like "follower" or "monk".
Another disadvantage is that you don't have access to all of its features unless you upgrade the app to its Pro version.
All in all, TheSage proves to be a reliable alternative to using your web browser for searching English word definitions. However, some of its built-in tools don't work 100%. So, it's up to you to decide, based on your needs, if it's worth installing this dictionary app on your Windows PC or not.
