Time In Words is a menubar clock and time conversion app that tells you the time and date in plain English for your own time zone and for any others you choose.

It takes you out of the digital era and back to when saying “quarter to seven” or “five past two” was accurate enough. When people look at an analog watch, they tend to interpret the time to the closest five minutes which allows for inaccuracies in the watch as well as providing only a useful level of detail. This app allows you to go back to that, showing time and date in words.

Does your job involve reading out the time from a clock? Perhaps over the radio or a public address system? Let Time In Words convert the time and date to words for you, so you can't make a mistake.

Add as many time zones as you like to the menu to see the time converted clearly and understandably, so you will never call a friend in a different time zone at the wrong time again!

Use "What time will it be when..." to schedule meetings and calls across time zones.

v2.5 [Apr 29, 2013]
Day and month names are now always in English to match the rest of the text.
If anyone wants to help localise the app to another language, please contact me.
Time zones can now to dragged & dropped in the Preferences window.
Menu includes a link to the Time In Words screen saver.
Fix for bug in "What time will it be..." when GMT was one of the selected tine zones.
