Time Sink is a Mac application that helps you keep track of the amount of time you spend using working with programs on your computer. This utility might prove to be of good use if you're not productive at work and wish to learn exactly how you wasted time doing something unrelated to your ongoing projects.

Once you launch the program on your Mac, it immediately starts collecting data from your computer. It lets you know which apps you're using, the amount of time you spend working with certain tools, etc. You can choose from multiple view modes, export the stored data with just a few clicks, and disable monitoring by hitting a certain key combination.

Furthermore, you can choose which applications to be excluded from the monitoring process. You can select the programs you use for work-related tasks and let the app monitor the rest of your Mac tools so that you can get a better idea about how you spend your work time.

My only issue with this utility is the fact that it supports only one output format when exporting the collected data (CSV). Mac OS X doesn't provide you with a default tool for opening this type of files and you need to download and install a third-party app to view these reports.

However, Time Sink proves to be a reliable solution for monitoring how you spend your time in front of your Mac. It's feature-rich, simple to handle, and cheap.
