Times Table OK MA is an educational game for kids. It was designed to help them learn the times tables. I would have loved to learn them using an application like this. This app lists all the tables for the numbers one through twelve. On the main menu, you can select the number that you want to see, which will take you to the times table screen. Here, you will see the tables on the left and a a grid with numbers from 1 to 100 on the right. At the top of the screen, there will be images of animals, and their number will match the table you are working on at the moment.
There are two features that I consider extremely helpful for the learning process. First, the tables can be read out loud, which helps kids repeat them and learn them by heart. The second feature is the pattern on the grid. When you browse different tables, you will see the numbers that correspond to that table highlighted on the grid. This helps kids understand that the tables can still be applied to bigger numbers than those on the left part of the screen. If you click on the "Play Pattern" button, the grid will lose the highlights and the kid can click on the numbers to highlight them. This helps them practice within the application.
In short, Times Table OK MA is a good tool for kids to learn, recite and practice the times tables. It is easy to use and navigate and it is currently free.
