Tipard DVD to iPad 2 Converter for Mac is a commercial DVD ripper. It can be used to convert your DVD movies to video files that you can then play on your iPad 2 or any other device that supports H.264 or MPEG-4 video playback. There are conversion profiles for the iPad 2 and lots of other devices, including iPods, iPhones, the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii and DS, among others.

The first thing you need to convert your files is load your DVD movie. There are two modes. I chose the recommended one and I noticed that the loading process took considerably longer than with other rippers I have tried. I wouldn't know why, though. Once that process is completed, you will see a list of DVD titles. They will all be selected, but you can uncheck them if you don't want to convert them. Next, you can choose a conversion profile and the audio and subtitle track that you want to use with your files.

All in all, this is a nice DVD ripper. It works well, it has a nice video editor that lets you carry out basic editing tasks and a nice interface. It also has a great number of conversion profiles.
