Tipard DVD to Pocket PC Suite for Mac combines both a DVD ripper and a video converter, which you can use to convert your media so that you can play it on your PocketPC devices. The supported output formats for both applications are DivX, WMV, WebM and AVI. There are conversion profiles for a number of devices including various PocketPC and non-PocketPC devices, gaming consoles, etc. It is nice to see that users of these old devices can still find an application that supports them.
When you run the application, you will see a launcher that will let you choose which one of the included apps you want to run. When you click on one, it will launch in a separate window, and you can only run one of the apps at a time.
Both applications share the same graphical user interface, but with slight chances to accommodate the differences between converting from a DVD movie and from a video file. They both display on-screen instructions to guide you through the process before you load any files. There is a video editor that can help you trim and crop your videos.
In my testing, I used the video converter to convert a MOV file into WMV using the default PocketPC profile. The original file was a minute long and it was converted in less than 4 seconds, which blew my mind. The quality of the resulting file was almost identical to the original one.
