Tixati is a free BitTorrent client with a wide range of advance features. The program makes use of the BitTorrent protocol, optimizing file downloads and ensuring a fast and efficient data exchange. Tixati works on Windows and Linux platforms and stands as an excellent alternative for those in need of a lightweight client that is feature-rich, highly configurable, and completely free of adware.

Starting a download with Tixati is easy. It works with .torrent files, which you can load via the 'Add' button or simply drag and drop into the program's main window. Tixati is also compatible with DHT (trackerless torrents) and PEX (Peer Exchange).
As your files are being downloaded, Tixati will show you an in-depth view of the file-sharing process, displaying trackers, peers, pieces, bandwidth, download status, etc., enriched with graphs, statistics, and all sorts of useful information. It is possible to stop/start downloads with a button, set bandwidth throttling and download priorities, optimize downloads with peer choking/unchoking algorithms, move files to a different location while downloading is in progress, among many other options.
There are plenty of other options that you can try to find an optimal configuration. The scheduler, for example, lets you program tasks like system shutdown, start/stop downloads, or set bandwidth throttling at a specific time/day. In addition, features like Peer connection encryption and built-in proxy support help users with privacy concerns create more secure connections.
Other features worth mentioning are the Tixati Channels and the built-in RSS Reader. Channels are the groups of people sharing content in a decentralized manner. You can easily create, find, and join channels, where you can download content that users are sharing, communicate with other Tixati users and share files via chat, play video/audio that users are streaming, and more. The built-in RSS Reader, in turn, is a fantastic feature to get updates of your favorite torrent sites and load torrents directly from the RSS feeds.
What is great about this torrent client is that on top of its multiple features, it is extremely light and easy in terms of system resources usage, running smoothly on Windows 8.1 and 10.
