First launch may take a while. If you're stuck on the splash screen, close app and restart it again. You should see the main menu. Copy tropicali_demo.rpa to /Documents/RenPy_Saves/com.lightningroosterprouctions.wplrfx.tropicali/game folder on your device storage. Launch Tropicali app again. Enjoy
As I said, Google Play Protect might be nervous about Tropicali APK. Sorry, I don't have an actual Google Developer Account. Exiting the game without going through Ren'Py's normal exit process (aka app kill) might lead to your progress not saving in the gallery.
