Turnado lets you add different effects to your audio output, which makes it useful for live performances and mixes. In this respect, the tool supports applying multiple effects either individually or as a combination. Luckily, there is a manual to help you take your first steps or find answers to your questions.
Turnado’s interface has a playful design that characterizes most similar tools. It has been made to resemble real equipment. There is a panel on top from where you can access presets and general settings. The panel at the center, in turn, has eight knobs, to which you can assign effects by dragging them from the left panel.
The application supports two different usage modes. First, there is the Expert mode, which allows controlling 24 effects. Second, you can use Dictator mode to control 8 knobs from a single fader. Regrettably, you cannot make a knob or fader jump to a specific position with a single click.
As said, Turnado comes with a set of 24 effects but, for practical purposes, you cannot use them all at the same time. So, you need to pick only 8 of them. Luckily, you can combine them and even use dynamic signal flow to apply them in a given order. Some of the available effects are Delay, Reverb, Amplifier, Filter, Modulation, Transformation and Loops. To make things easier, Turnado comes with multiple presets. What is more, you can create your own presets if you need to.
All in all, Turnado produces good sound effects. Moreover, it gives the opportunity to modulate all the parameters. Fortunately, the tool does not require much of your hardware resources to do its job. Finally, you should know that there is a demo version of this product you can use to experiment at no cost.
