Tuxguitar is a solution designed to aid users who want to use their imagination and talent to create original songs. It comes equipped with lots of interesting features, all wrapped into a clean and intuitive user interface.
It uses very well the screen spaces and the icons have a great design. The fonts, however, don't seem to be very well chosen, neither the color or the font style. Also the media buttons tend to feel clunky and look a bit outmoded.
The program has a built-in tablature editor and player. More, in the main menu individuals will find a score viewer and a multitrack display.
Furthermore, Tuxguitar provides users the possibility of setting the tempo or adding a time signature. It also lets them manage the duration of notes and it provides support for triplets.
There are also numerous effects that can be used to edit tracks, like slide, hammer-on, vibrato, or bend. Not to forget, the program supports the import and export of gp3, gp4 and gp5 files.
All in all, Tuxguitar is a comprehensive program that provides users the means to edit or create original songs.
