Scans the hard disks and recovers the files that have been damaged, corrupted or deleted. The functionality of the software is expanded with the help of extensions. Supports file systems from Windows (FAT, ExFAT, NTFS), macOS (HFS, HFS+), and Linux (Ext, UFS, XFS).

Data loss is an unwanted event that can have a lot of causes. The good part is that it can also have a couple of solving alternatives. One of them is using a specialized data recovery application such as UFS Explorer Standard Recovery.

One of the main advantages of using UFS Explorer Standard Recovery is the fact that it can recover files from a large variety of storage device types. Numerous file systems are supported, including the widely-used NTFS, FAT and HFS+ ones but also rarer ones such as Ext2-Ext4, XFS, ReiserFS, JFS or UFS. RAID recovery using optional external modules is also possible.

It’s also pretty simple to use. Just select the partition, drive or storage device that you want to scan for lost files, and once the scanning process is complete, use the “Copy To” function for the recoverable files that you want to restore. To my surprise, the scanning for a 50 GB partition fully populated with files took less than 3 minutes, which is really fast considering the previous experiences that I had with similar data recovery applications. I’d say that the high scanning speed is unrivalled and is an aspect that should be held in high regard when choosing this application is taking into consideration. Furthermore, there are handy additional features such as the support for recovering data from disk images and virtual disks or the powerful recovery algorithms deployed to ensure the accurate recovery of every bit of lost data. In my opinion, though it looks a bit high, the price of UFS Explorer Standard Recovery seems to be perfectly justified by its many qualities.

v5.1 [Feb 2, 2012]
NOTE: On account of the huge size of the Changelog for this software, it has not been possible to mention all changes between ver 5.5 and ver 5.15.2. Only changes after ver 5.15 have been mentioned below. The interested reader is requested to visit the developer's official blog http://ufsexplorer.blogspot.in/ for details of changes prior to ver 5.15.
Version 5.15 to 5.15.1
=================
This software update resolves several compatibility issues found after analysis of older file systems. Among important improvements is better support of file attribute separation on NTFS via "Attribute Lists" and as result - possibly better recovery quality in certain scenarios.
This update is considered as "recommended".
Version 5.15.1 to 5.15.2
==================
This update is considered as minor, however it adds valuable features, related to Windows dynamic disks. Starting version 5.15.2 all software editions support dynamic disks over GPT that resolve partition identification issues on big drives.
The other function is better support of NT LDM metadata to properly handle "generic" volumes, including "simple", "mirror" and "spanned" volumes. Support of "stripe" and "RAID5" remains unchanged.
In this release there are also fixed few bugs, including software termination issue from iconic state under Windows in certain scenarios.
This update is considered as "recommended".
