UltraISO Premium is intended to perform all sorts of operations involving ISO image files. In this regard, the tool allows creating, editing and converting ISO files. Likewise, it lets you create bootable discs. The program is not difficult to use, but, in any case, it is good to count on its accompanying help documentation.
The interface is probably the weakest point of this product. It actually looks as if it had been stuck in time since the 1990s. Most of the functions are available from the top toolbar while the rest of the window is not too different from a standard file explorer. You can manage folders from the left-side pane as well as the files inside them from the right-side (bigger) pane.
You can open an ISO file and explore or edit its contents just as you would in File Explorer. Luckily, drag-and-drop operations are supported to add new folders and files to an existing ISO. Likewise, you can easily extract contents from it without needing to mount it.
Moreover, there is the possibility of cloning an existing disc to an ISO file. Luckily, if the source disc is bootable, UltraISO Premium can retain its boot info in the copy. Similarly, you can use this tool to convert practically any disc image format, such as BIN, IMG, CIF, NRG and BWI, to ISO.
Finally, UltraISO Premium can emulate virtual drives. However, although it can perfectly work with various virtual drive emulators, like Daemon Tools, it does not seem to integrate with Windows 10’s built-in ability to mount ISO and IMG files.
All in all, UltraISO Premium lets you work with ISO files in all possible ways. In this respect, it is a sort of Swiss Army knife that can come in handy at any time. Good news is that its features can be expanded thanks to its support of add-ons. Luckily, there is a trial version of this product, which has limitations related to file size.
