Update Notifier 

Update Notifier is a system maintenance tool for those with lots of applications. Update Notifier will scan your computer when you first install it and elaborate a list of the applications that you have installed. It will also connect to the Internet and check what the latest versions of those applications are. If the version that you have on your system is not the most recent, Update Notifier will tell you that, and give you the option of installing the update. For most applications, Update Notifier will automatically download the updates and install them for you. But I have found that in some cases, the application will simply take you to the website of the developer of the application that you are trying to update. Even if the application takes you directly to a download website, it sure beats having to browse application by application to find out which ones are not up-to-date. You are also given the option to update your applications or not, which is great for when you don't want to jump into an unstable release or don't need the newer features in an update. The application also has a portable setup option, really useful for USB drives.
