The Universal Serial Bus, better known as USB, is a port initially designed to connect peripherals to a computer. It has gained so much popularity that it has become sort of a port par excellence. This way, its use has extended to other electronic devices, like television sets and DVD players.

Most modern peripherals can be connected via USB, among them are web cameras, photo cameras, external hard disks, and pendrives. The main advantage of the USB is that it allows to “plug and play” peripheral devices, provided the host device has the corresponding driver.

USB Redirector is intended to help you use USB devices that are not connected to your computer. You will be able to use a remote web camera or a printer just as if these devices were physically connected to your computer.

This program is not easy to use. In fact, you will need to install it in both the local and the remote computers. There are two processes involved: sharing and connecting. Only after sharing the device in the remote computer, you will be able to connect to it. The interface is divided into two tabs. The first shows a list of local USB devices available for sharing while the second shows the remote USB devices available for connection.

Once you understand the philosophy of this program and if you are at least an intermediate user, you will not have any difficulties to use this software.
