Verto Studio 3D is intended for the creation of tridimensional mockups or even full environments. It can come in handy for designers, engineers, architects, game developers as well as beginners. Luckily, the tool supports a wide range of file formats, which allows you to share your work with many other similar apps, like Blender, 3D Max, LightWave, Milkshape, Quake and 3D Game Studio, to mention but a few.
The application’s interface devotes most of the space to viewing the object or space you are designing. In order to create a new object, you should use the Add button from the toolbar. This way, you can easily draw such objects as planes, cubes, spheres, tori and cylinders. Likewise, you can generate more complex objects from meshes.
As to editing the objects, Verto Studio 3D lets you manipulate them in many ways. In this regard, the possibility to work with vertices is extremely appreciated. Luckily, you can work at a specific scale and use real measures. Moreover, you can use textures to create a realistic feeling. For this purpose, there is an extensive library of built-in textures and materials. Still, it is also possible to create your own using the integrated Material Editor. Additionally, you can use lights to generate realistic shader effects.
All in all, Verto Studio 3D is a solution for creating, editing, importing, exporting and viewing 3D models. In this respect, it is not as expensive or difficult to use as other products out there. Similarly, one of the best advantages of using Verto Studio 3D is that there is a mobile version. Unfortunately, it has been reported to crash occasionally. The product is available from the Mac Store at no cost.
