Most of us utilise smartphones to record and edit videos. Unfortunately, this is not always a quick or easy task. A mobile phone application known as VidTrim is a great option for those who might not be familiar with more complicated programs, as all files can be modified and edited within a few simple steps. The fact that the basic package is absolutely free is also a welcome change when compared to similar platforms.
VidTrim is an all-in-one video editor. As expected, basic functions include the ability to crop videos, to change their size, to modify their format and to adjust filters for subsequent playback. Audio can be extracted and converted into an MP3 format while files are able to be compresses and translated into the common MP4 codec. This enables users to quickly share their videos when desired.
We should note here that the free version only includes the basic functions mentioned above. Those who pay for the entire package will enjoy numerous other benefits. These include (but are not limited to) merging different clips, rotating videos, saving individual frames and optimising files for the ARMv7 NEON codec (when required). A dedicated folder is available for private storage.
