However, it is a shame that, unlike most other similar tools, you cannot open two different folders on the same window, which would help a lot in comparing, transferring and synchronizing data between two folders. It is also good that there is a built-in hex editor that lets you edit remote files.

Establishing a connection to a server is quite easy. For this purpose, there is a drawer in which you enter the server’s address as well as any authentication data if it is necessary. Likewise, you can bookmark frequently used servers so that you do not need to go through the whole procedure again. Other possible settings include using a proxy server and switching to passive mode. Luckily, all the customization can be saved in profiles for later use.

All in all, Viper FTP Lite helps you perform various file transfer operations quite easily. Some of its limitations are related to its being a free light version of a paid product. So, you can remove bookmark limits, enable batch uploads and add more protocols by purchasing the full version.
