Hidden contacts
The new type of contacts is introduced – hidden contacts. To hide a contact a user sets a special password, which is subsequently used to display this particular contact. The hidden contact option is in the list of security options for a certain contact. It is possible to hide several contacts under one password, when it’s entered, they are displayed all at once. Hotkeys Ctrl 2 and Ctrl 3 can be used to hide and unhide contacts. The hidden contacts are displayed in the contact list in italics after they are disclosed for a chat.
When you hide a contact in the secure messenger – nobody can find out, to whom you send your goodnight wishes.
Individual contact settings
Setting a fixed online status for particular contacts is another handy tool when you don’t want to chat with someone pushy or, on the other hand, you want to always be available for the dearest people. We all have the special people with whom we may talk day and night.
A short guide to fixed statuses: you right-click on a contact, then select security – then you get a list of options including the “fix status visible to contact”. Tick it and choose a status. This status will appear next to the chosen contact in your list to mark that you’ve set it.
There are two more options for customizing your conversations in VIPole: setting the time for auto delete messages and self IP-address masking can now be done individually as well as for all contacts at once. In some cases you may prefer to save all the message history, in other – you may choose to burn them after reading.

In the new VIPole Desktop update there are 3 options for authorization request settings. They will please both the extraverts, who are open to new connections, and sociopaths like Dr. Gregory House, who prefer to choose friends meticulously. It is now possible to allow all VIPole users send authorization requests to you, set a question for the contacts to answer or deny access to all users.
The option for sloths
When you are just too lazy to enter your secret phrase every time you want to chat on VIPole – you can save your secret phrase. Handy, of course, but it weakens the security. When your devices remember the secret phrase for you, it’s easy to forget it. And then you may need to shift to a new device and fail to recollect it. Sometimes we get these «Help! I forgot my secret phrase!» letters, but keep in mind that we do not store your secret phrases and we can’t help in this case. Security in VIPole requires your self-responsibility.
New Business Account features

In this update, we put an emphasis on refining the contact list settings for better privacy protection. You can now arrange the settings in a way to communicate with the members of your Business Account only. There are special options at the administrator panel for controlling the way users interact within the app.
In the VIPole Desktop update 3.6.1 there are several options for Business Account that allow the administrator to limit the contact list of the users to the working connections by disabling the users to change their contact list. No leisure chats, just business – for a better productivity of the employees. The second reason is that the system will be secure and closed, and the users won’t send sensitive information to external contacts.

It may happen that one of your employees turns out to be an insider. In this case, you need to protect your data ASAP. Now you can block a member urgently or clear the message history immediately. These measures protect your data both from external threads and from insiders.
New security settings
VIPole provides a safe space for your data storage, but once the employees copy the files to a USB stick – your data is exposed to violations. File downloads from the server can be prohibited for certain or for all users if you do not want your data to be stored elsewhere and without encryption.
When the employees are too lazy to remember their secret phrases and prefer to leave their working places without turning off the computer – your confidential information is endangered. In VIPole Desktop update 3.6.1, you rely on the technology, not only on the people, when it comes to data safety. Blocking auto login for members will protect your data, so that no one could enter VIPole while the computer owner is away.
