Vision HD was born out of a personal need. Having a webcam that was capable of producing widescreen, high definition video and not being able to record it proved to be a head scratcher.
Vision HD will allow you record in the native aspect of your Quicktime compatible webcam or video camera. You can always record in standard (4:3) aspect ratio. If your webcam supports widescreen (16:9) you will be able to record in native 16:9 aspect.

Vision HD 2.0 takes advantage of the next generation AVFoundation framework, available only on OS X 10.7 Lion. Snow Leopard and earlier users will need to upgrade to Lion to take full advantage of Vision HD 2.0
