VistaSwitcher is a task management utility for Windows computers. It is more of an alt-tab replacement app. Whenever you hit a certain combination of keys (let's assume it is alt-tab, as it is by default), the application launches a square with a list of active windows with a preview of them on the left. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 you can even see live previews of your active windows. Live previews actually show what the application is doing. So, if you are watching video, you will watch it move on the preview. Not only does VistaSwitcher allow you to switch among active windows, but it allows you to fire up all active windows of a single application, which is something I had not seen to date on Windows. For every application that shows up on VistaSwitcher, you can either maximize it, minimize it, run it, send it to the front, or even kill the process. The VistaSwitcher window is to a certain degree transparent and it has font antialiasing, so it should look quite good on all systems. It supports Windows XP, Vista, and 7 and there is even a native 64-bit version for speedy systems. The really great thing about this particular alt-tab replacement app is that it is keen on keyboard shortcuts. Browsing through your windows is really easy by simply using the keyboard. That saves time and could even save your wrist some pain.
