VSDC Free Audio Converter 

VSDC Free Audio Converter has been designed to fulfill all your audio conversion needs for free. This program supports all the most popular audio formats both at the input and the output side. Those formats include MP3, WMA, WAV, Ogg, AAC, AIFF, and many others. Besides, this utility offers you additional tools, like an audio file downloader and a tag editor.

The program's user interface is dull and uncolored enough to be considered boring, though it offers four interchangeable skins. Basically, this interface consists of three sections – a command ribbon at the top side, the conversion list in the middle, and an audio player at the bottom.

The command ribbon includes four sections that will help you to perform the various audio conversion tasks. The first one is the "Files" section, whose aim is to help you select the source files to be converted. You can add those files to the list individually, by folders or by dragging and dropping them from Windows Explorer. You can delete individual elements from the list or clear the entire list with one click. You can also select any file on your list and use the audio player both to listen to that file and to clip it, defining the corresponding start and end points.

The second section is "Formats", which allows you to select your desired output format in one click. Besides, in this section you can set an output folder and assign a profile to the output. Actually, you can even edit that profile and change its codec, bit rate, sampling rate, and the number of channels. You can also change the profile's name and description, or save your own settings as a new profile. Finally, you can either start the conversion process from here or go to the "Conversion" section and start the conversion task from there. You can also access the audio files downloader from here, though you will need to provide the URL to the file manually, as the tool does not include any searching capabilities.

"Help" is the last section, even though the program does not include any help files. The only action you can perform from this section is to open the program’s "About" window. Finally, I have to mention that this audio converter offers all its functionality for free, though voluntary donations are always welcome.
