Video clips can be uploaded and shared on the Internet. VSO Downloader helps you make local copies of online videos, which can be then played on any portable device. The tool can monitor video contents streaming on your browser and let you download them with ease. For this purpose, the program allows selecting which ports to monitor. Moreover, there’s even an option to start downloading contents without confirmation.
The application has a straightforward interface. In addition to creating automatic download jobs, you can add video URLs directly. Multiple jobs can be executed simultaneously, and there’s even the possibility of using various download threads to accelerate the process. The jobs in the list can be arranged and given priority. Unluckily, there are no filters available to separate completed tasks from those that are still running. Instead, you can press a button to erase finished jobs. Fortunately, the downloaded files can be converted to other formats to ensure compatibility with various portable devices. However, not many formats are supported in the free version.
In general, VSO Downloader may not be the most sophisticated of the video downloading tools. However, it is effective in grabbing streaming contents that cannot be downloaded otherwise. Its designers should be more careful because there’s at least one typo in the interface (“wil” instead of “will”).
