VSO Media Player is a video and audio playback program. It supports all major video and audio formats and works without external codecs. The utility is Blu-ray and DVD compatible and you can also view image files.
The software has a standard video player interface. If you use other video players like VLC, you will find nothing new. However, I found the interface to lack visual appeal. The icons are clumsy and the developers need to redesign the UI to make it look modern and appealing.
The key area where this software really shines is in the playback department. This program supports GDI and Direct3D, and you can choose between them to get the best video/audio quality. If you have a NVidia video card, the software supports Cuda cores and video card acceleration. There are other features to enhance your experience namely Multicore support and Audio Booster. All these features guarantee to provide a smooth playback experience with increased stability.
You can configure different image parameters, such as brightness, gamma, contrast, and saturation. This program also supports subtitles and you can configure font size, color, and screen position. The software also includes an Audio Booster but lacks an equalizer.
To sum up, VSO Media Player is a program that offers some great features (GPU Support) but also misses on some equally important tips (Audi Equalizer and presets). If you need an alternative to your existing playback software then you can try it.
