VSO Video Converter is a powerful video conversion utility that supports a large variety of video file formats. This handy application enables you to convert among multimedia file formats like MKV, AVI, WMV, FLV, MP4, and many more. It can also rip DVD movies to common video file formats. Its integrated disc burning engine allows writing videos to discs (CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs).
VSO Video Converter is also capable of extracting sound streams from video files and saving those as standalone audio files. As you can see, it’s a comprehensive and feature-rich program that comes with a lot of additional options and functions. It also allows you to create your own custom output profiles with your choice of codecs, bit rates, resolutions, and other settings. Furthermore, it can be used to create complex AVCHD and Blu-ray multimedia discs.
Converting video files using this neat tool is easy, but performing more intricate tasks, like tweaking advanced options or configuring editing parameters, gets to be a bit complicated. The “Advanced editing window” is not exactly straightforward and self-explanatory, in my opinion.
Anyway, this converter is fast and reliable, so I won’t dismiss it as completely useless. On the contrary, it’s a pretty interesting utility, even though I won’t call it neither easy-to-use nor good-looking despite the fact that it allows for changing skins.
