The VueMinder Ultimate application is a great calendar and also a good event reminder. It is appropriate for users with a busy schedule.
At first sight, it seems to be a complicated program, with many options and settings, but it is actually not hard to use. You encounter from the very start a wizard meant to help you apply the first settings. I like the fact that you can select to receive e-mail or text messages reminders.
The interface is endowed with the main menu bar, the main toolbar, together with a floating one. The app provides a calendar with many customizable settings. There is also a category list where you can choose among different event types that can be prioritized. Most of the interface is occupied by the actual agenda which is presented in five forms: daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and chronologically. You will find four fields at the bottom of the page: events, tasks, notes, and contacts. The option field offers you many possibilities to adapt the program to your needs. The settings made in the first place can be modified at any moment. The appearance supports changes by choosing one of sixteen themes. Another nice thing is the fact that you can use a color code for each day. This is useful when you try to visualize how your schedule looks like.
An interesting part of this application is the calendar gadget for Windows 7. It appears on desktop and in this way you have the agenda next to you, every time you need it. The graphic part of this gadget looks like the actual VueMinder Ultimate app, but with some little changes. The reduced opacity is favorable because it doesn't disturb your view when you use another program. Also, you can minimize it into an ordinary calendar to occupy a smaller region of your desktop.
This is a very useful program considering that most of the people prefer an electronic device instead of a classic agenda to set their schedule. It has a very nice interface, which makes me state that VueMinder Ultimate is an application that is worth trying.

- Added a Russian translation.
- Added a "Sync Now" button to the Sharing Options, which will force VueMinder to refresh its local data to match the shared data on the server. This button can be used if auto-syncing fails to pick up a change for whatever reason (which normally shouldn't happen).
- Corrected a problem with VueMinder sometimes freezing when attempting to sync shared calendars with my MySQL Server.
- Corrected a problem with duplicate events sometimes appearing on other computers when syncing with MySQL Server.
- Corrected syncing of recurring events that have end dates. In some cases, the events wouldn't appear to have end dates when viewed on other computers.
- Corrected problems syncing with Google Calendar by updating VueMinder to use the latest Google Calendar API.
- Corrected deleting recurring events when "This instance and all that follow" is selected. Modified instances that occur after the selected date were not being properly deleted.
- Corrected the Task List to not re-expand previously collapsed rows when a task is modified.
- Corrected the expansion buttons and "Edit task" buttons in the Task List of the Desktop Calendar. Previously, these buttons weren't appearing or were difficult to see.
- Corrected calendars that sync with Google Calendar to no longer be read-only after upgrading from VueMinder Lite.
- Other minor corrections and improvements.
