Wallet is a Mac program that lets you store private information, like email account credentials, software license keys or credit card details in one place. The utility features a user-friendly interface, provides you with an efficient search tool and a password generator, and allows you to easily sort the stored items into groups based on their types.
The first thing you need to do after installing and launching the tool is to complete the steps presented by the program's wizard assistant. You can either import an old Wallet database or create a new one from scratch. The utility enables you to password-protect it to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your private information.
You can add as many item categories as you like, use the integrated password generator to get strong passcodes for your new accounts, and duplicate or find entries with just a few clicks.
Another important advantage is the fact that you can sync the stored content across your Dropbox account. This way, you can access the stored credentials from another Mac or media gadget, like a smartphone or tablet.
Two things bother me about this tool: it supports a few output formats when exporting the stored info and the fact that you can find cheaper solutions for managing passwords and other private details.
So, it's up to you to decide, based on your needs, if Wallet is the right choice for you or not. Either way, the program works well and offers you some very useful features.
